NEO
Dr Salvatore Capobianco & Miss Stacey Moore
NEO-PI-R (Costa & McCrae,
1985, 1992) is a measure of the domains and facets of the five-factor model.
A
total of 224 male (36%) and female (64%) undergraduates at
Table
1 shows that Neuroticism was not significantly related to A-I
– a finding found in every other study using measures of Neuroticism.
Openness
to Experience and Conscientiousness were both highly significantly
correlated. Extraversion and
Agreeableness were less significantly related – [Ed: results that were in
accord with those of Gelade (2000).]
Domain: Correlation with
KAI
Neuroticism -.11
Extraversion .26 ***
Openness to Experience .42
Agreeableness -.21
Conscientiousness -.44
Each of these domains
contains sub-set scores, given below,
[Ed: As these are short
scales, the key correlations are either those lager than .3 or those over .2
that are supported by more than one study.
